Presidium Support Protocol
Unless your college has purchased its
own branded support, when users call Presidium, Presidium will follow a standard
protocol which
is the same protocol WAOL uses.
Some things
to remember:
General Tips
- For courses you build locally, put your college abbreviation and an
underscore before the course ID.
- For a student's user name, use the student's SID.
- For a student's password,
use the first five letters of the student's last name.
- Tell users to change their passwords and enter a current email address
the first time they log in.
General Issues
- Presidium will not create, delete, enable or disable any user accounts
or classrooms.
- Presidium will reset passwords, but you should encourage users to immediately
enter a current email address in ANGEL so they can
use the "I Forgot My Password" tool, which only works for current
email addresses.
Student Issues
- Students with account questions (for example, "Where’s my account?" or "Where’s
my classroom?") will be directed to their college's registration office.
- Presidium will direct students to the WashingtonOnline
Student Services page to find the correct person at the college for
help. (Use your ELC MyWAOL account to make sure your contact information
is current.)
- Presidium will use this calendar to
tell users if and when classrooms are available. Users will be told that
classrooms open one week before the start of instruction.
- Presidium will not reset or clear quizzes, tests, or assignments without
direct permission from the instructor.
Faculty Issues
- Faculty with account questions (for example, "Where’s my account?" or "Where’s
my classroom?") will be directed to their college's eLearning office.
