Tegrity is a cloud-based lecture capture tool that all Washington community and technical colleges use. Tegrity allows instructors to easily record their classes and to share the recording with students online. Instructors can see which sections of videos students replay and use that information to focus on the topics and concepts students are having difficulty with. Students can leave comments and questions on the video timeline or make recordings themselves. Instructors can remix and reuse recordings.
The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) has purchased a single installation of Tegrity that is free, unlimited, and available to anyone in our system. The license allows unlimited use of Tegrity by anyone associated with our colleges. The installation is hosted by Tegrity. Each college has its own Tegrity license, and the contract is managed by WashingtonOnline (WAOL) staff. Your college does not have to use WAOL ANGEL to use Tegrity. Each college will manage its own Tegrity, and the contract will pay for Tegrity to be integrated with each college’s learning management system.
As part of the State Board contract with Tegrity, there will be many opportunities for online and face-to-face training, provided by Tegrity, with each college being allocated a certain number of training seats for each topic.
