Prioritizing and Completing Tasks
  1. Quickly list all the incomplete tasks you should do.

  2. Now color-code the list with three colors. The first color should represent important, urgent, time sensitive tasks. Use the second color for those tasks that would be nice to accomplish, that would yield some benefit. The third color is reserved for those tasks that you know you are not going to get to, that require resources not available to you, or those tasks that simply are not a priority to you.

  3. Sort your list into the three columns using colors that make sense to you. Where are you going to focus your attention?

  4. Look at your current goals. If necessary make adjustments. Perhaps you had items on the second or third list that are critical to achieving the goals you have set for yourself.
